PHPCR

PHPCR is a set of interfaces that define a content repository API for the problem domain of a CMS. It covers things like semi structured content in a tree structure with support for references, versioning, ACLs, observation and full text search. The idea is to enable CMS developers to target a single API while being able to choose from different implementations.
